In the Steps of the '45 is an interactive journey, following the route taken by Bonnie Prince Charlie during the Jacobite rebellion. Pictures and text describe events including his landing in Eriskay, the fateful battle of Culloden and his flight through the Highlands of Scotland.

This section differs from the other Scottishmist.com features as it does not contain any 3D images. The original project was intended to demonstrate the production of material on a specific subject or educational topic using the SCRAN resources and database.

The text, structure of the presentation and the supporting interactive maps are completely original. The menuing system and the content management developed for this project has been improved and used in several of my commercial productions. One of the features in the Online Storyboard is a translation int Portugeuse.

I do not intend to develop this production any further at this time. Bonnie Prince Charlie and the '45 Jacobite Rebellion is one of the most emotive Scottish historical subjects, and there are a substantial number of books available, old and new. I do intend to develop a links and references section to help those interested in researching the subject further.
